Description

Founded in 1973, Mount Veeder Winery was born from a spirit of adventure and a pioneering belief in mountain-grown Cabernet. Long before the Mount Veeder AVA was established, Michael and Arlene Bernstein planted Bordeaux varieties high in the Mayacamas—defying convention and cultivating vines in rugged, high-elevation terrain. Their inaugural vintage was the first to carry the Mount Veeder name, and in 1977, the winery made history with California’s first five-varietal Bordeaux blend. Today, we continue that legacy with wines of depth, structure, and mountain character—crafted by hand, rooted in heritage, and shaped by the wild beauty of the mountain itself

This vintage reflects our good fortune in working with growers who share our commitment to quality, and we look forward to strengthening these relationships to ensure consistentlyexceptional wines year after year. Our final blend includes a portion (11%) hailing from our Mount Veeder vineyards, helping link the Napa Valley bottling to the storied past of Mount Veeder Winery.
